This pendent is stamped and signed by the artist.
Spiny Oyster is a shell that originates from the coast in Baja, California. This shell is known to come in a variety of colors including yellow, orange, red and purple. The pueblo Indians acquired this shell when they started trading with the coastal Indians, and have used it in their jewelry ever since. It is most commonly used in inlay jewelry to add a pop of color because it pairs well with turquoise.
