These beautiful sterling silver earrings were handcrafted by Navajo artist Virginia Becenti using genuine Kingman turquoise stones set into sterling silver saw tooth bezels. These earrings are also adorned with twisted sterling silver rope lining the edges. These earrings are approximately 1.5" L x 0.75" W. Hook style earrings. These earrings are stamped and signed by the artist.
Kingman turquoise originates from the Kingman turquoise mine in Kingman, Arizona. This mine is one of the oldest and largest suppliers of turquoise and is known to produce stones ranging in color from bright blues to deep greens. This mine has been commercially mined since the early 1900's and still produces very valuable stones to this day that are used for many things including jewelry.
